A portrait WIP

I think i finally got the basics of the face of my girlfriend more or less right so i can post yet another WIP (this is gonna turn into a wip blog i can just tell). :D

The brief is meant to be an observation exercise for form, colour, light, shadow as well as in photoshop. I am hoping to have the value part of this drawing done today so i can start on the colour tomorrow in class.

Which is better?

That tongue has been bugging me ever since i redrew the perspective on this DPS (bet you guys had not noticed that huh?). nI just felt it had lost a lot of it's dynamism. I think changing the tongue has really helped it both pop and make it more menacing and adding a little movement to the whole thing. What do you guys reckon?

Not sure how to name it when it's just more WIPs!

I don't know if i mentioned this before but i am always open to getting my art torn to pieces, especially if it's by constructive criticism. :D Any help and/or C&C is always appreciated.

A couple of WIPs

A couple of WIPs from the storybook that we have to do for class. I've two different mediums and styles before this and neither was working at all so i have no idea where this one is going to end up but at least i am finally having some fun!

First, and i pray quite fervently, last, attempt at fashion illustration.

I think the least said about these the better. :D Still there were bits about it that i liked.
